Players
Mighty Penguins Sled Hockey is a fun, therapeutic, and competitive ice hockey program for physically disabled children and adults. We aim to develop character, sportsmanship, and physical fitness — while promoting and encouraging both educational and cultural experiences.
Ages
We have teams for both youth and adult players. Youth teams are typically for players ages 5-17 and our Adult teams are primarily for players 18 years of age and older.
When
Our sled hockey season typically runs from late August/early September through the 1st weekend May.

Practices
Current (2025-2026 season) practices for the Novice, Junior, and Intermediate Divisions:
- Every other Thursday 4:40-5:40 PM
- Most Saturdays from 4:10-5:30 PM for youth teams and 5:30-6:50 PM for adult teams
Senior Team practices are TBD
Games
Most games and tournaments are played away from our home rink due to the limited number of sled hockey organizations.
The youth teams typically have a home tournament annually.
Jerseys
Returning Players
You now have the option to purchase replacement game jerseys and other gear from K & B Outfitters — more info coming soon!
New Players
Practice Jerseys are provided to new players at no cost.
Game Jerseys may be purchased from K & B Outfitters once player number has been approved by the organization.
Extra Costs
Extra costs outside of the registration fees include: USA Hockey Membership fees, travel costs to all away tournaments, game jerseys, team apparel (optional), and hockey gear like player's sled and sticks.

Welcome to the Pittsburgh Mighty Penguins registration page for the 2026-2027 season.
Season fees for Returning Players:
$100 registration + $200 mandatory fundraising fee (fundraising fee can be recouped by selling your required tickets)
1st Year Players:
The organization waives the registration cost for new players & the fundraising fee is suggested not mandatory.
